Collingwood’s junior hockey team is doing more than switching its name this year, the team has announced it has parted ways with its head coach, assistant coach, and general manager.

Collingwood Blues announced today the team will no longer be coached by Thomas Milne (head coach) and Darcy Roy (associate coach).

Earlier this week, the team also announced it had “parted ways” with general manager Dermot Anderson and hired Mike Tarantino.

A news release from the team indicated in the cases of Anderson and Roy the decision “wasn’t easy” and the Blues Jr. A hockey club wished them both well.

Another news release announcing the departure of Milne included a departing message from the outgoing coach.

“I had a truly amazing experience coaching in Collingwood,” said Milne in a statement.

He thanked David and Christina Steele - the team owners, and the other staff, players, and arena staff for their work.

“I want to sincerely wish Mike Tarantino and his staff nothing but the best,” said Milne. “Collingwood is in good hands with Mike.”
