Blue Mountain got Blues this weekend

Music lineup at the Village this weekend includes three headliner performances and a show by Collingwood-based jazz duo

Blue Mountain Village is giving its visitors the Blues this weekend with three days of live music and activities and headliner Bobby Dean Blackburn. 

Blues at Blue runs Aug 11 to 13 and features a lineup of Blues music artists and performers including The Bentley Collective on Friday, Bobby Dean Blackburn on Saturday, and the Toronto Concert Orchestra on Sunday. 

The weekend also includes performances by Collingwood-based Matthew and Richard Jazz Duo (Sunday, Aug. 13 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.) and Bamtastic! Drumming - an interactive drumming circle running Friday and Saturday from 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. 

Friday evening, The Bentley Collective will be on the floating stage in the pond performing their music embodying the principles of roots, jazz, folk and the Blues. 

Maggie Haze's sparkle and shine hoop show will be on the outdoor stage at 2:30 for an hour on Aug. 12, and will include some hula hoop instruction and a dance party. 

The dancing continues later the same day at 4 p.m. with Groove Dancing. 

On Saturday evening, Bobby Dean Blackburn will perform with Frank De Mattieis and Steve Kennedy from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the Subaru Stage (outdoors). 

Closing out the performances on Sunday will be "Symphony on the pond" with the Toronto Concert Orchestra performing on the floating stage in the pond from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
