Award-winning author, playwright Dan Needles headed to Orillia

Former Stephen Leacock Medal for Humour winner Dan Needles will be entertaining guests at a Feb. 11 event at St. James' Anglican Church. The event is to help raise funds for a much-needed, energy-efficient commercial dishwasher.

St. James’ Anglican Church is pleased to present what is sure to be a performance to remember.

Come and enjoy an evening of laughter with your Valentine on Feb. 11 with award-winning author and playwright Dan Needles. Needles has been writing about rural Canada with wit and humour for thirty years and will engage ticket holders with stories from his best-selling book True Confessions from  the Ninth Concession.

He won the 2003 Stephen Leacock Medal for Humour for With Axe and Flask and his Wingfield Farm stage plays have appeared in theatres across Canada and the United States. Needles lives with his wife at Larkspur Farm near Collingwood.

Tickets are $30 each and can be purchased online at Eventbrite, or in person at the church office 58 Peter St. N.  

Following the 7 p.m. performance, a reception, with cash bar and snacks, will be held in the church auditorium.
