Special weather statement in effect for:
- Barrie - Collingwood - Hillsdale
- Midland - Coldwater - Orr Lake
- Orillia - Lagoon City - Washago
Very strong winds today.
Very strong southwesterly winds gusting up to 70 or 80 km/h are forecast to develop this morning. These strong winds will continue through the day before weakening this evening.
The strongest wind gusts are expected near the Niagara escarpment as well as along the shoreline of Lake Ontario.
Some damage to tree branches may occur as well as some local power outages.
