After Monday’s council meeting we hear again that Mayor Brian Saunderson wants to do another disservice to a former volunteer recipient. An award that is more than 24 years old!
You have to ask yourself why is this man fixated on a certain individual? How many more taxpayers’ dollars will be poured out to fund this new revenge campaign? This is political vindictiveness to the extreme. The same mayor that raises a flag for anti-bullying cannot heed his own advice!
Ontario Premier Doug Ford went outside the democratic process to appoint this man. Is this who we really want representing us at provincial parliament?
As mayor of Collingwood, Saunderson should focus on our manufactured water crisis, the homeless, the businesses that are shut down by COVID-19, focus his energy on a new hospital or merely start doing ‘town’ business.
