Lyn Ronald would like to give a "huge shout out" to Debbie Smith, the front office manager and reception at Blue Mountain Veterinary Services, "for all she does for us and our four-legged friends."

"She is always there with a big smile on her face and knows all our pet's names and their idiosyncracies," said Ronald. "During these unusual times when people cannot go into the clinic, Debbie ensures your orders for medication refills and pet food are fulfilled, organizes curbside pickup, provides triage advice for our companions, makes appointments ... and even comes out and picks up your animal and brings them inside."

Ronald noted Smith's sense of humour and calm demeanour.

"It is always a pleasure to know Debbie is at the other end of the line and will make sure whatever should happen will happen," said Ronald.

CollingwoodToday would like your help in recognizing local essential workers from health care workers, physicians, cashiers and delivery drivers. If you'd like to say thanks to someone you know, please send a photo, their name, their job title, and your words of thanks to [email protected]. Please only send photos and information with permission.
