COVID-19: Here's the situation in Collingwood today

There are three new cases of COVID-19 in Collingwood, and three more in Wasaga Beach, all announced today by the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit. 

The new Collingwood cases include a woman in her 20s (community-acquired), a man in his 70s, and a woman in her 80s, both under investigation. 

Ontario is reporting 412 new cases of COVID-19 today as well as 443 recoveries and 68 deaths.

Simcoe County announced some changes to the LINX bus route between Wasaga Beach and Collingwood. The service will operate on an hourly basis and following the Sunday schedule with the first bus at 7 a.m. in Collingwood and the last bus at 8:30 p.m. leaving Wasaga Beach.

Members of Collingwood’s aviation community conducted a flyover of Collingwood General and Marine Hospital and other health care and first responder buildings in Collingwood yesterday as a tribute to frontline workers.

Today’s essential workers of the day are the environmental services staff at Collingwood General and Marine Hospital.
