Collingwood General and Marine Hospital has put a call out to retired and newly graduated health care providers to join the fight against COVID-19.
The hospital has posted a job on its website entitled COVID-19 Response Team.
“Our hospital has a fantastic team of health care professionals and they need reinforcements to step up and lend a hand against the virus,” states the job description.
Not only does the hospital have job listings for clinical, nursing, leadership, and support jobs, candidates who don’t see a job that fits their skills are being asked to email anyway and have their names added to a “skill list” for future needs.
The hospital website states needs are “rapidly changing” and they’ll contact people as needs arise.

According to the hospital’s president and CEO Norah Holder, the hospital has received offers of assistance from retired employees and physicians.
“We are very thankful for their offers and are keeping a contact inventory for all of these dedicated retired professionals,” said Holder. “As the need arises, we will be reaching out to them as per our Emergency Response Plan.”
