Simcoe-Grey’s federal candidates will debate this week at an event focused on environmental issues.

The Collingwood Climate Action team is hosting one of the 100 Debates on the Environment events, which are slated to be held in 100 ridings across Canada.

Nation-wide, the 100 Debates on the Environment project is made up of non-profits, businesses, citizens’ groups, high schools, universities and others, and is being coordinated by GreenPAC and Equiterre. Equiterre is an environmental consulting organization based in Quebec. GreenPAC is a Toronto-based environmental organization with a goal to recruit and identify “strong environmental candidates.”

The Collingwood debate takes place Thursday, Oct. 3 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Collingwood Leisure Time Club.

You can reserve a ticket to the event online here.

Penny Skelton will be the moderator for the event.
