Two new COVID-19 cases reported in the Blue Mountains today

The Town of the Blue Mountains has had a total of 34 COVID-19 cases and there are currently seven active cases in the municipality

The Grey Bruce Health Unit (GBHU) has confirmed there are 17 new cases of COVID-19 in the region today. 

The 17 new cases are located in Owen Sound (4), Chatsworth (3), Hanover (2), Blue Mountains (2), Huron Kinloss (2), West Grey (2), Meaford and South Bruce. 

The health unit has reported a total of 551 cases in the region to date, and notes there are 52 active cases in both counties combined. Two people from the region are being hospitalized.

Active cases in Grey County are currently located in Owen Sound (8), Southgate (2), Grey Highlands (2), Meaford (3), West Grey (7), The Blue Mountains (7), Hanover (4),  Chatsworth (4) and Georgian Bluffs (1). 

The health unit is currently tracking 142 high-risk contacts associated with active cases.

Of GBHU’s 551 cumulative cases, 467 cases have recovered and 32 cases were referred to other health units.

Lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases in Grey County include: Owen Sound (92); Southgate (77); Grey Highlands (62); West Grey (37); Blue Mountains (34); Meaford (24); Hanover (24); Georgian Bluffs (5); Chatsworth (6).
