Two candidates have declared their intentions to run in this fall’s municipal election in The Blue Mountains and Grey Highlands.
In The Blue Mountains, current Councillor Andrea Mattrosovs is seeking the Mayor’s chair this fall.
In Grey Highlands, current Councillor Dane Nielsen has registered to run for the Deputy Mayor’s position. Current Grey Highlands Deputy Mayor Aakash Desai has announced he will not seek reelection.
The municipal websites for The Blue Mountains and Grey Highlands have a full package of information about the municipal election for prospective candidates, voters and local residents.
Candidacy nominations opened May 2 and those wishing to run in the election have until August 19 to file their application.
The election will be held on October 24, 2022.
