The Town of The Blue Mountains has scheduled a public meeting on the official plan and zoning bylaw amendments for the proposed Thornbury Acres development.

Located at the southeast corner of Grey Road 2 and Grey Road 40, Thornbury Acres is a proposal to build a residential farm cooperative on 61 hectares of agricultural and rural land. The proposal includes 37 single detached dwellings and a private road system.

The public meeting will be held on May 16 at 9:30 a.m. using both in-person and virtual methods. More details about the meeting can be found here.

Along with the residential units, the development proposal includes 36.4 hectares of agricultural/recreational space.

In addition to the official plan and zoning bylaw amendments, Grey County is considering a condominium application for the proposed development.

Comments about the proposal can be made in person at the meeting or in writing. A decision about the application will not be made at the meeting. Town planning staff will prepare a full report after the public meeting is complete with full details and a recommendation for council to consider in the future.
