One new case of COVID-19 reported in Grey Highlands today

The Grey Bruce Health Unit (GBHU) is reporting five new cases of COVID-19 in the region today. 

The new cases are located in Grey Highlands, Owen Sound, Brockton, Hanover and West Grey. 

Over the weekend, GBHU reported 10 new COVID-19 cases, including two new cases in the Town of the Blue Mountains (TBM).

TBM has now had a total of 41 COVID-19 cases and there are currently two active cases in the municipality.  

The health unit has reported a total of 653 cases in the region to date, and notes there are 41 active cases in both counties combined. 

Two individuals from the region are being hospitalized.

Active cases in Grey County are currently located in Owen Sound (3), Southgate (4), Meaford (1), West Grey (4), The Blue Mountains (2), Hanover (3), and Chatsworth (1). 

The health unit is tracking 115 high-risk contacts associated with active cases.

Of GBHU’s 653 cumulative cases, 570 cases have recovered and 42 cases were referred to other health units.

To date, GBHU has administered 200 COVID-19 vaccines. 

Lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases in Grey County include: Owen Sound (108); Southgate (85); Grey Highlands (68); Meaford (28); West Grey (49); Blue Mountains (41); Hanover (30); Georgian Bluffs (6); Chatsworth (7).
