Grey County employers asked for feedback for EmployerOne survey

The survey is for all employers — with at least one employee — in Bruce, Grey, Huron, and Perth counties

The EmployerOne survey is back and ready for input from Grey County employers.

Due to the pressures and changes being faced by employers during the COVID-19 pandemic, this project was put on hold for 2021 and 2022.

EmployerOne provides valuable insights about our local workforce challenges and opportunities. The revised survey reflects the current workforce trends and has been shortened to reduce the time required to complete the survey.

EmployerOne collects labour market demand data for the local region. This information is crucial to building a strong and resilient workforce. With a chronic low unemployment rate and the recent pandemic, local employers and community stakeholders are facing critical shortages in the labour force. The final report will be released to schools, community partners, government agencies, and the public to support local stakeholder planning and skills development.

The survey is for all employers — with at least one employee — in Bruce, Grey, Huron, and Perth counties. This survey should be completed by a representative (for example, owner or management staff) who can speak to the organization’s workforce experiences in 2022. The survey consists of approximately 20 questions and will take about five minutes to complete. Responses will be collected anonymously and data will be published in aggregate form only.

“We would like to extend a huge thank you to our local employers, advisory partners and funders for your support of this and other projects undertaken by the Four County Labour Market Planning Board,” said Dana Soucie, interim executive director of the board.

This service is funded in part by the federal and provincial governments and is a collaboration with the counties of Bruce, Grey, Huron and Perth, City of Stratford, Town of St. Marys, Town of Hanover and the Huron Manufacturing Association.

Anybody who would like more information about the survey or how the Four County Labour Market Planning Board can assist with workforce needs can contact the board at 519-881-2725.

The survey opened Nov. 1 and closes Jan. 31. It can be found here.
