The Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation proudly announces the return of its annual signature event, the Care Gala.

On Saturday, Sept. 30, from 6 to 11 p.m., the annual Care Gala will be held at the Blue Mountain Resort's Village Conference Centre in the Huron Ballroom, and chaired by Paula Zubek.

The gala is set against the picturesque backdrop of the Niagara Escarpment and Georgian Bay, offering a delightful, traditional ambience. This year, the gala promises a night of celebration, entertainment, and heartfelt acknowledgement of the selfless efforts of the team at Hospice Georgian Triangle and Campbell House.

The Hospice Georgian Triangle's public relations and communications manager, Kelly O'Neil, is thrilled about the event. She explained, "The gala is an occasion that should not be missed. It is attended by a group of truly amazing donors who wholeheartedly support our hospice and are there to celebrate both the staff and people they have lost from their own lives."

From a welcome reception with signature cocktails and decadent hors d'oeuvres to a gourmet, locally-sourced seasonal dinner paired with fine wines, attendees will be treated to a lavish night. The event will also feature an exciting live auction and special live entertainment.

At its heart, the Care Gala is more than just a night of festivities. It is an opportunity to celebrate and recognize the incredible staff at Hospice Georgian Triangle and Campbell House. They tirelessly provide exceptional, compassionate care and support to patients and families during their most challenging times.

"They're truly dedicated to exceptional care," O'Neil expressed. "We will honour them at the gala, celebrate their work, and thank them in person for all they do."

The gala's primary mission is fundraising, with this year's goal set at $200,000. All proceeds raised will directly contribute to the hospice’s most urgent needs and support individuals and their families with life-limiting illnesses in the towns of Blue Mountains, Clearview, Collingwood, and Wasaga Beach, both in their homes and at Campbell House.

"Every dollar and donation made at this event makes a difference for the lives of palliative patients and their family members," O'Neil said. "Funds raised at the Care Gala will continue to make this work possible. Because of our donors, we're able to provide comfort every single day at Campbell House and in the community providing exceptional hospice palliative care, respite care, pain and symptom management, and grief and bereavement support."

Supporters who cannot attend the gala can still contribute by donating to the Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation. Every dollar raised makes a significant difference, enabling the Foundation to continue its work, providing comfort, pain and symptom management, and bereavement support.

A special thank you is extended to the Platinum Sponsor, Blue Mountain Resort, whose support is vital in making the event successful.
