Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police charged two drivers yesterday with drinking and driving offences.

The first occurrence took place shortly before 8 a.m. when police received a report of a vehicle stopped on Swiss Meadows Boulevard in The Blue Mountains with a male standing near the vehicle. OPP officers attended where interactions with the male revealed that he was under the influence of alcohol which led to his arrest and transport to detachment for processing.

Charged is 25-year-old Tyler Reid of Oro-Medonte Township, he is charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration. He is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on Aug. 8, 2019.

The second occurrence took place at approximately 5 p.m. when officers received a complaint of a possible impaired driver last seen in the area of First Street and Hurontario Street in Collingwood. Officers subsequently located the vehicle where the driver was subjected to a roadside breath test which resulted in a 'fail' reading and the arrest of the female driver.

Charged is 29-year-old Stephanie Sheppey of Clearview Township, she is facing a charge of operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration and is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood on July 302019.
