Three charged after drugs, weapons seized in Wasaga Beach

WASAGA BEACH - On July 7, 2020 at approximately 2:42 p.m., members from Huronia West and Collingwood Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed two Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrants at two residences in the Town of Wasaga Beach.

The warrants were executed with the assistance of OPP CSCU members from Nottawasaga, Caledon, and Southern Georgian Bay Detachments.

Officers seized multiple substances, including fentanyl, cocaine, and hydromorphone, as well as an imitation firearm, brass knuckles, a small quantity of cash and three cell phones.

The investigation, which commenced in March of 2020, resulted in the arrests of three individuals and a total of five Criminal Code (CC) charges and nine CDSA charges.

Walter Haourt, 54 years of age of Wasaga Beach, Ont. was charged with the following offences:
    •    CC 88 - Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose (two counts)
    •    CC 91(2) - Unauthorized possession of weapon
    •    CC 117.01(1) - Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order (two counts)
    •    CDSA 4(1) - Possession of a Schedule I substance (three counts)
    •    CDSA 5(2) - Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking

Natalie Nobes, 41 years of age of Wasaga Beach, Ont. was charged with the following offences:
    •    CDSA 4(1) - Possession of a Schedule I substance (three counts)
    •    CDSA 5(2) - Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking

Michael Aube, 58 years of age of Wasaga Beach, Ont. was charged with the following offences:
    •    CDSA 4(1) - Possession of a Schedule I substance

All accused are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood on Sept. 22, 2020.
