GREY BRUCE OPP

On October 15, 2021 at approximately 1:45 p.m., Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint concerning a possible impaired driver on Highway 26 in the Municipality of Meaford.
Police located and stopped a motor vehicle, and the driver was placed under arrest. The driver was transported to the Grey Bruce OPP detachment, where further tests were administered.
Grey Bruce OPP have charged Lauren Atkinson, 32, from The Blue Mountains with the following offences:
· Operation of a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol, and
· Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor.
The accused was released and must attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on November 25, 2021.
The accused's driver licence was automatically suspended for 30 days, and their vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days.
