Local police say they have now arrested a suspect and laid a charge following an incident at a Wasaga Beach cannabis store.

Earlier this month, the Huronia West Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) put out a public appeal for witnesses to the incident, which involved a man being "belligerent" at a cannabis store on Mosley Street at about 2:40 p.m. on Aug. 12. Police say the man was refused service and he broke a window on his way out of the store.

Police received information from the public following the crime and appeal for information and have now arrested a 27-year-old man from Wasaga Beach. He has been charged with mischief. He will face the charges in court in Collingwood next month.

"Huronia West OPP would like to thank the public for their assistance in identifying the person responsible in this crime," states a news release from OPP.
