Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a robbery call in Meaford early this morning, and arrested a 30-year-old Sarnia resident suspected of being involved in the incident.
Grey Bruce OPP received a call one minute before midnight about a robbery in progress at a business on Sykes Street North in Meaford. By 12:30 a.m. on Arpil 21, police say they located the suspect and arrested one person. Police also called in the emergency response team and canine unit for the investigation.
The Sarnia resident has been charged with robbery with violence, disguise with intent, and failing to comply with a probation order.
The accused is being held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound.
