Owen Sound Police Services and Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police are asking the public for video surveillance footage in their ongoing investigation of an Owen Sound homicide.
Just before 1 a.m. on Tuesday, July 11, gunshots were heard at an apartment complex on 6th Avenue West.
When officers arrived they found the body of a victim. Investigators believe it was a targeted shooting.
An Owen Sound resident was arrested the next day and has been charged with first-degree murder.
Police are now asking people to check for video surveillance footage between 11 p.m. Monday, July 10 and 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 11 in the following identified areas in Owen Sound:
- Area between Alpha Street to 1st Ave West, between 10th Street West and 14th Street West.
- Area between 2nd Ave West to 8th Ave West, between 26th Street West and 29th Street West.
- Area between 2nd Ave East to 4th Ave East, between 17th Street East and 18th Street East.
