Police arrest suspected impaired driver after two-car crash in Collingwood

Collingwood OPP arrested a 30-year-old Collingwood man after a two-car collision at the intersection of Hurontario and Ontario street yesterday evening (May 18). 

Police report the collision happened at 5:19 p.m. on May 18. A sedan and a pickup truck collided in the intersection of Hurontario and Ontario Streets. 

The driver of the sedan was taken to hospital with what police say were minor injuries. 

The driver of the pick-up was arrested and charged with impaired driving, failure to or refusal to provide a breath sample, failing to yield to traffic, and driving a motor vehicle with an open container of liquor. 

He will face those charges in court on June 29.
