Police arrest man accused of robbing Wasaga Beach EB Games

WASAGA BEACH – On September 11, 2019, at approximately 12:30 p.m., members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a 911 call for a robbery that had just occurred at EB Games, on Main Street in Wasaga Beach. Through investigation police were able to identify a male suspect.

On May 24, 2020, the accused, Kadar Atteye, 26 years old, of Toronto, Ontario, was located and arrested by Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officers at Pearson International Airport in Toronto, Ontario, after returning to Canada on a flight.

The accused has been charged with two counts of robbery with theft, contrary to Section 344(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.

The accused was held for a bail hearing to be completed by video on May 25, 2020, from the Huronia West OPP Detachment.
