More than 600 pot plants seized in Kincardine drug bust

Officers also seized bud, shake, edibles, and Canadian currency

KINCARDINE - On Oct. 11, 2018, members from the Grey-Bruce Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU) was assisted by Huron-Perth Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU) and the West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) as they executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant on a property located on Concession 11 in the Municipality of Kincardine.

As a result of the investigation, police seized over 600 cannabis marijuana plants, cannabis marijuana buds, cannabis marijuana shake, cannabis marijuana edibles, and over $4,200 in Canadian currency. The estimated combined value of the seized controlled substances is approximately $250,000.

Brian Dunseith, 65-years-old, and Linda M'Larkey, 60-years-old, both from Kincardine have been charged with the following offences contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act:
    •    Produce a schedule II substance (cannabis marijuana)
    •    Produce a schedule II substance (cannabis resin)
    •    Possession of marijuana for the purposes of trafficking
    •    Possession of cannabis resin for the purposes of trafficking

They will appear at The Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton at a future date to answer to their charges.
