Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police have confirmed the death of 23-year-old Hellen Nyabuto, who drowned in a pool in the Township of Chatsworth late last week.
Police, fire, and EMS were called to the pool on Aug. 18 at 5:45 p.m. Nyabuto, who was living in North York, was removed from the water and pronounced deceased after life-saving measures were unsuccessful.
Nyabuto was live-streaming her swim on Facebook before she drowned, and the recording continued while she drowned.
The incident remains under investigation, it is considered non-suspicious in nature, according to OPP.
