THE BLUE MOUNTAINS - Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) presently have Grey Road 19 at Highway 26 and Highway 26 at Grey Rd. 40 closed to traffic in these areas for a collision investigation.
Grey County Paramedics and The Blue Mountains Fire Department are on scene to assist with the scene itself. OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are enroute to the site. As a result of the investigation, Grey Road 19 at Highway 26 and Highway 26 at Grey Rd. 40 is presently closed and will remain as such for an extended period of time. How long exactly is unknown at this time. We ask that motorists avoid this area and find an alternate route.
The collision is involving a Transport Truck and a small SUV however details of the crash itself are unknown as the investigation is commencing. The extent of injuries are unknown however a media release will be sent out when the roads re-opens or further confirmed details become available.
