Driver charged after collision between truck and horse-drawn buggy

The collision occurred on Dec. 16 and sent five people to hospital

GREY HIGHLANDS - On Dec. 16, 2021 at approximately 3:40 p.m., the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the Dundalk Fire Department and Grey County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a report of a collision between a pickup truck and a horse-drawn buggy on Grey Road 2 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.

On Dec. 29, 2021, the Grey Bruce OPP arrested and charged Adam Nickle, 41 years old, from the Township of Southgate with three counts of dangerous operation causing bodily harm. Nickle was released from custody, and is scheduled to appear on March 17, 2021 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound.
