Deceased pedestrian identified in Meaford transport truck crash

The 66-year-old Meaford resident was transported to hospital but died as a result of their injuries

MEAFORD - On Dec. 23, 2019 at 1:13 p.m. Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to motor vehicle collision involving a transport truck and a pedestrian at Highway 26, east of third line, Meaford. The pedestrian was transported to hospital by Grey County Paramedics, but died as a result of the injuries.   

The collision occurred while the transport truck was leaving from a private drive, making a right turn eastbound onto Highway 26.

The deceased has been identified as 66-year-old, Edith Clark from Meaford.

Grey Bruce OPP continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision with the assistance from OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators.
