CLEARVIEW TOWNSHIP - On Aug. 31, 2019 shortly before 8 p.m., members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and emergency crews were called to assist at a serious collision on Fairgrounds Road in Clearview Township.
The initial investigation reveals, the vehicle had entered the ditch and the driver ejected. The 46-year-old, from Clearview Township was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Fairgrounds Road was closed for several hours while OPP members trained in collision reconstruction measured, photographed and collected evidence. The roadway reopened shortly after 1:30 a.m.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation. The name of the deceased person is being withheld pending the notification of next of kin.
