CLEARVIEW TOWNSHIP - On Nov. 8, 2018, members of the Huronia West OPP Community Street Crime Unit and Collingwood Community Street Crime Units executed a search warrant at a residence on County Rd. 91 in Clearview Township. During the execution of the warrant, police seized approximately 14,756 grams of illicit dry cannabis marijuana and 16,452 cigarettes (untaxed.)
As a result a 47-year-old male and 54-year-old male from Clearview Township have been charged with the following:
- CA 8(1)(b) adult possession of illicit cannabis
- CA 9(2) adult possession for the purpose of distributing
- CA 10(2) adult possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling
- CA 12(4)(a) adult cultivate, propagate or harvest a cannabis plant that is from seed or plant material that is illicit cannabis
- TTA 29(1) possession of unmarked cigarettes
- TTA 29(2) possession of unmarked cigarettes for sale
Investigation still ongoing.
