2nd fire at Crosswinds Blvd. 'suspicious': police investigating

A fire destroyed four town houses under construction on Crosswinds Boulevard in The Blue Mountains early in the morning on Nov. 30.

Local police are investigating after two fires destroyed homes under construction in less than two days. 

The first fire, on Nov. 30, levelled four townhouses at 190 Crosswinds Boulevard in The Blue Mountains early in the morning, around 5:40 a.m. 

The next day, Dec. 1, at about 10:45 p.m. Ontario Provincial Police and local fire crews were called back to Crosswinds Boulevard for a second fire near Springside Crescent. Several houses under construction were fully engulfed in flames, said a news release from OPP. 

In a news release issued Dec. 2, police confirm they are investigating the fires as suspicious and residents can expect a heavy police presence in the area for the next few days.
