Died peacefully on Thursday February 3, 2022 at the General & Marine Hospital, Collingwood in his 91st year. Alfred, beloved husband of the late Wilma (2002) and partner of the late Christine Gofforth (2019). Loving father of Regina (Dave Rozycki), Lisa (Sandro Osti) and Terry (Diane) Zuwa. Cherished Papa of Andrew (Amanda), Jennifer (Steve), Matthew, Wendy (Aaron), Daniel (Amanda), Mario, Larissa and Arianna and Great Papa of Lucy, Caden, Conor, Bryn, Martin and Lily. Dear brother of Gisi (the late Hansi Ziehfreund) and the late Karl (Hanni) Zuwa. Alfred will also be missed by his nieces and nephews, friends and fellow moose hunter and best friend, Roly. Alfred was a kind man with a wonderful sense of humour who enjoyed teasing his family. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt deer with a crossbow. He was a skilled tradesman with the talent to build almost anything. He lived a good, long, adventurous life with no regrets. His family will miss him deeply. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Wasaga Beach Chapel, 509 River Road West, Wasaga Beach on Tuesday February 8, 2022 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will follow at St. Noel Chabanel Catholic Church, 133 Dunkerron Avenue, Wasaga Beach at 1 o’clock. Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bolton at approximately 3:30 p.m. As restrictions remain, you must register your attendance for the visitation and/or the funeral.
