It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of the love of our life. Dianne Elizabeth Wilcox passed peacefully on Friday, October 7, 2022 at Campbell House Hospice, Collingwood at the age of 76.

Dianne was the love of her husband Donald Herbert Wilcox, and they shared 56 years of married life. She was the loving mother of Lorri-Ann Drury (Kevin) and Jason Edgar Moser-Wilcox (Jennifer). Grandmother of her three most precious grandchildren Dylan, Noah and Abigail.

Dianne was the eldest child of Richard and Eva Clarke (nee Brunson). She was born in Orillia, Ontario on December 5, 1945. Dear sister of Mary, Pat, Charles, Lorraine, John, Alphonse, George, James, Leslie, and Loretta (deceased). Dianne received her high school diploma when she was 50, from the Adult Learning Centre.

She loved to play darts at the Legion which took her all the way from Monday Night Mixed League to the Legion Provincial.

She loved acting as Navigator for Lorraine Johnson. Lorraine at the time was the Ladies Auxiliary Provincial President, and visiting Legions was part of the job.

Dianne was a true cheerleader and fan for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays. She enjoyed watching Young & Restless on television.

In her earlier years she excelled at 5 pin bowling with the late Casey Meesters’ Sunday night bowling team.

In 1973, she had the chance to dance with Leaf goaltender Johnny Bower and was also introduced to musician Fats Domino. Dianne was a groupie of the late Movie Star Claudette Colbert and had the opportunity to see her in New York in the Off-Broadway play, ‘Aren’t we All?.’

She and Don liked to do day trips in their automobile.

Arrangements entrusted to Chatterson Funeral Home, 404 Hurontario Street, Collingwood. A Celebration of Dianne’s life will be held at Collingwood Royal Canadian Legion on Friday, November 4th, from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m.
