Passed away peacefully on Sunday February 13, 2022 at the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital at the age of 72 following a courageous battle with cancer. Butch is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Michele (nee Cooper). He will be remembered as the proud and loving father of Bruce (Leslie) and Bryan (Ally) and cherished grandfather of Carter, Hayden, Brooke, Kole and Butch. Will fondly be remembered by Brooke and Kole's mother Susan Doyle. Butch was born in Kirkland Lake to parents Willard and Iris Wabie. He is survived by his brother Bob (Linda), sister Lori (the late Bob) and niece Amanda; predeceased by his nephew Luke. He will be missed by his extended Cooper family and many friends.
Butch enjoyed his time with friends and family whether it was fishing at his cousin's camp in Quebec or the French River, playing horseshoes, darts or just enjoying a beer at the Legion or local pubs.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice Georgian Triangle - Campbell House, Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
