Passed away on Monday September 4, 2023 in Chemanius, British Columbia at the age of 69.
Ruth, beloved mother of Tamara Collins-Hobbs and her husband Dale and Scott Collins. Cherished grandmother of Tyneshia, Ryan , Dylan (Jordyn), Brandon (Ashley), Dustin and Aaliyah.. Loving sister of David (the late Catherine) Vancise, Susan (Graham) Low and Sandra (Rob) Huver. . Predeceased by her parents James and Helen Vancise. Ruth had a great passion for Nursing throughout her career in both KW and then on to Surrey BC where she eventually retired from nursing. It was at that point she made the decision to devote her time and efforts to her passions of music, guitar, singing, family and embracing "Van Life" in BC.
Visitation will take place on Friday September 29, 2023 from 7-9 at Fawcett Funeral Homes, Collingwood Chapel, 82 Pine Street. A Celebration of Ruth's life will be held on Saturday September 30,2023 at 1:00pm in the Chapel with a reception to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 63, 490 Ontario Street, Collingwood.
