Passed away peacefully with family by his side at General & Marine Hospital, Collingwood, ON, on Wednesday, January 16th, 2019 at the age of 80. Garry, beloved husband of Mary (nee Lyon) for 57 years. Loving father of Edward (Nancy), Paul (Ronda) and Susan McPherson (and her fiancée Mark Kloosterman). Dear Opa of Robert (Jenica), Matthew, Lyndsey, Hannah, Olivia, Katelyn, Melissa (Brandon), Christopher, Jordon and Great-Opa of Lilly and Colton. Brother of Paul, Jessie, the late Catherine and brother-in-law of Vera Bonwick. Fondly remembered by nieces, nephew, family and friends. The family wish to thank the nurses on the medical floor and a special thank you to Dr. Bryan Recoskie for the wonderful care given to Garry. Visitation will be at the Chatterson Funeral home on Sunday, January, 20th, 2019 from 2 – 4 pm. A funeral service will be held on Monday at the Collingwood Christian Reform Church, #7642 Poplar Sideroad, Collingwood, ON at 11 am. Spring interment at the First Presbyterian Cemetery.
