VAN DEN HURK, Gerard Arnoldus

Passed away suddenly on Thursday October 1, 2020 at Collingwood General & Marine Hospital in his 88th year.  Loving husband to Maria (nee Coops) for 63 years.  Loving father to Maria Van Den Hurk, Gerry (Kathy) and Eric.  Grandfather to Richard, Anne, Nicole, Joseph, Candace and Kyle.  Great Grandfather to 4 and great great grandfather of 2.  Gerard is survived by three sisters in Holland.  Predeceased by his parents, Johannes and Maria Van Den Hurk, one sister and three brothers.  Gerard had worked for many years as an Industrial Electrician until retiring.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Chatterson Funeral Home, Collingwood.  A family service will be held at Chatterson Funeral Home.  Remembrances of Gerard may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
