TEEKENS, John

Died peacefully on Monday April 12, 2021 with his children by his side at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie at the age of 72.  John of New Lowell, loving father of Cindy (Mark Service) and Jason. Cherished grandpa of Adam and Nathan Service.  Dear brother of Hannie Webster, Aart (Marlene), Nellie Teekens, Catharinus (Carol), Johanna (Glen Morby), Ellie (Tom Kavanagh), Patricia [Pete](Keith Holmes) and Janske (Gwen Seymour).  He is predeceased by his parents Aart and Johanna Teekens. John will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews, friends, neighbors and fellow pipefitters.  He was a kind man who cherished his family.  He loved spending time with his grandsons, particularly in the outdoors, fishing, ATVing and snowmobiling.  He was often at the rink watching his grandchildren's hockey games and enjoyed spending time tending to his garden.  He will be missed.  His family will gather for a private interment service at the Stayner Union Cemetery.  If desired, John’s family ask that you consider a donation to your local hospital as an act of remembrance.
