Peacefully passed away on Saturday December 9, 2023 with her daughter at her side after a valiant battle against cancer.
Sandra died at her daughter’s home, with her daughter caring for her at the age of 77. Sandra of Wasaga Beach, beloved wife of the late Fred Sasvari. She is survived by her daughter and best friend Christine McFarlane, her grandchildren Sarah (Justin) and Matthew (Jen), her great grandchildren Colton, Rainie, Jenna and Xhianne, her sister-in-law Gail Hawthorne, nephew Andrew and niece Nicole and their families. Sandra will be missed by Christine’s companion Robert Jamieson, his son James, her canine companion Timmy and feline Della. She is predeceased by her son-in-law Al McFarlane and her brother Ronald Hawthorne and her longtime canine companion McKenzie.
Sandra was a fun-loving woman who enjoyed being the center of the attention. She was a fanatical fan of the Maple Leafs and Blue Jays. She enjoyed knitting and making hand crafts which will be cherished by her family. Private family arrangements. Cremation with interment at Stayner Union Cemetery. Sandra’s family thank the medical professionals that helped her care during Sandra’s final journey.
