It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gordon W. Smith.
Gord passed away peacefully Friday March 22, 2024 at Sunset Manor in Collingwood. Gord was born in Oshawa August 12, 1937. He is pre-deceased by his parents Watson & Ruby Smith and his brother Ralph. Gord is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Eillien and his three daughters Karen (Thom) Evered, Carol (Steve) Pilkey and Lynda (Dan) Miller. Papa will be greatly missed by his six grandchildren Kayla (Dave), Alex (Danielle), Andrew (Tara), Alyssa (Adam), Brian (Robyn) and Rachel (Jake) and his great grandchildren Noah, Emery, Easton, Reece, Stella, Max, Marlowe and Penelope. He will also be missed by his sister Sylvia (Ted) Percival and his many nieces and nephews.
A celebration service will be held at Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home - Wasaga Beach Chapel, on Thursday March 28, 2024 . Visitation begins at 12 noon with the funeral service to follow at 1 o'clock.
Gord's family would like to thank the staff at Sunset Manor for the wonderful care he received during his stay.
