Barbara Ann Smale (nee Griffin) passed away August 19, 2022, she was 88 years of age. Barbara was born and raised in the Ottawa area. Barbara married Paul Watson and together they had 3 children, Lisa, Melanie (David), and Tara (Helmut). Barbara also leaves behind 3 grandchildren, Britt (Nicolas, Cédric), Emma, Quinton (Jessica), and Michael (Mahogany). She also leaves behind her newest and only great-grandchild, Cédric Paul.
Barbara spent most of her life in the Collingwood area, first as a weekender and for the last 35 years as a full-timer. She loved to entertain and celebrate the holidays. Barbara loved to sing, garden, and care deeply for her children, grandchildren, and many loyal and unique dogs.
There will be a private burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Chatterson Funeral Home, 404 Hurontario Street, Collingwood.
