SILVA, Germano Ferreira 'Gerry'

Died peacefully on Monday April 24, 2023 at the General & Marine Hospital, Collingwood on his 89^th birthday. Gerry of Wasaga Beach, beloved husband of Dolores for over 62 years.  Loving and proud father of Carlos (the late Christina), Gerry (Pina) and Angelo (Leslie).  Cherished Avo of Michael, Kaitlin, Alexander (Ashley), Adam and Tommy. Dear brother of Jose Manuel (Helia), Artur (Fatima) and Fatima, predeceased by six siblings.  Dear brother-in-law of Manuel (Eduarda) Silva, Maria Simas (the late Alberto), Zulmira (Emmanuel De Souza), the late Angelo (Odette) Silva, Leonor (Jose Faria), Elvira (Manuel Ferreira), Doralice (Mario Nobrega), Carlos (Beverley) Silva and Adalberto Silva.  Gerry will also be missed by his numerous nieces and nephews, friends and neighbours.  He was a kind and loving man who cherished his family.  As the Patriarch, he led by example showing his love and respect for the family.  He will be deeply missed.  Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home, 509 River Road West, Wasaga Beach on Friday April 28, 2023 from 2 to4 and 6 to 8 p.m.. Vigil prayers at 2 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday April 29, 2023 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 106 Yonge Street North, Elmvale at 11 o’clock.
