SHERK, Sharon (nee Cave)

Passed away on November 29, 2023 at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie in her 74th year. Sharon of Wasaga Beach, beloved wife of the late Donald “Don” Sherk (2021) for over 53 years. Loving mother of Kathy Bell-Copeland, Sherri Brouwer, Paula Sherk, Aaron Sherk, stepmother to Dean Sherk, Darren Sherk, Kevin Whale and their spouses. Cherished grandmother and great grandmother to many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sharon will also be missed by her siblings, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors from Wasaga Beach. Sharon was spirited to the end sticking out her tongue and giving side-eye as words became tough over these last few days. “Everyone always said Don was the light, but Sharon was the rock.” She was a sounding board, advisor, confidant, advocate, champion, cheerleader, challenger, best friend and so much more. Cremation has taken place and a short commemoration will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2023 from 2pm until the words of remembrance at 2:30pm - Carruthers and Davidson Funeral Home – Wasaga Beach Chapel, 509 River Road West.
