Died peacefully on Monday October 9, 2023 at the Stayner Care Center at the age of 85.
Velma, predeceased by her parents Harvey and Rhoda Sheffer (nee Steckley). Dear sister of the late Marjorie (the late Ross Cooney) and Walter (Audrey) Sheffer. Cherished Aunt of Dwight, Fern (Gavin McCombie), Rhoda (Sean Howard), Rob (Amber), Helen (Chris Inkpen), Howie (Jennifer) and the late Rick and their families. Velma was a kind woman of strong faith. She was a long time Bell Canada operator and spent the majority of her time living in Toronto before coming home to retire.
Friends will be received at the Carruthers and Davidson Funeral Home - Stayner Chapel, 7313 Highway 26, Stayner on Friday October 13, 2023 from 6 to 8 pm and again on Saturday October 14, 2023 from 1 to 2 pm at the Sixth Line Church, 1152 Nottawasaga Concession 6 North, Stayner for the Funeral Service at 2 o’clock.
