Died suddenly on Friday March 22, 2024 at the General & Marine Hospital, Collingwood at the age of 83.
Olive of Stayner, beloved wife of Dale for over 59 years. Loving mother of Donald (Lori) and Carl (Angela). Cherished grandmother of Benjamin, Christopher, Jessica, Sarah (Kevin Marchment), Emma (Ryan Dunn), Erin and Abigail (Jacob Stevenson) and great grandmother of Callum and Aubree. Dear sister of Mary (Allen Wyant) and the late Eldon (Janet) Cubitt. Olive was a kind and loving woman of great faith. She was a true homesteader who loved to work in her gardens and to create beautiful quilts.
Olive was an integral part of the Sixth Line church community including as a caretaker for over 15 years and she taught Sunday school for decades and was fondly known as Auntie Olive to generations. She will be deeply missed.
Friends will be received at the Sixth Line Church, 1152 Concession 6 North, Stayner on Wednesday March 27, 2024 from 11 am until the time of the Funeral Service at 1 o’clock. Reception to follow in the church auditorium. Private graveside service later in the day.
