It is with profound sadness we announce the sudden passing of our loving and devoted mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend June Seguin on Friday, December 1, 2023 at the age of 63.

June Grant Seguin (nee Campbell) was born June 28, 1960 in West Douglas, Scotland a daughter of Irene Campbell, and was predeceased by her father David Campbell

She lived her early life in Scotland and a few years in England. David and Irene instilled good family values on their children whether at their home or on numerous weekends trips around Scotland.

The family immigrated to Canada in 1972. Moving to the Georgian Bay area in 1973 where she lived the rest of her life.

June married Michael Seguin on December 23, 1978 and lovingly raised three children Kirk (Reagan), Jordan (Renee) and Kayla.  June poured her heart and soul into her family; she was the foundation of the family and a safe space for all. She instilled in her children, strong values and moral compass that will stay with them forever.

June was a devout Christian and aspired to a selfless life in always thinking of others first, as she was taught throughout her Christian life. She was devoted to her church family at the Gospel Hall’s in the area and especially the Strongville Gospel Hall. Early mornings were spent reading her Bible over a good cup of coffee.

Her life was a living example of the verse from Ephesians 4:32 “And be ye kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you”. June had an unmovable faith in God and was a shining example of a Christian.

June lived her short life to the fullest, with family and friends. Family gatherings meant the world to June whether it was a meal or a wee blether over a cuppa! It was nothing for her to put together a huge meal for 30 – 40 people. She was a wonderful cook and baker. It was a joy and a pleasure for her to bring people together in her home and cater to their every need. She did this with such ease and grace, it's a wonder how she could whip things up at moments notice, and not a measuring cup in sight.

June will be sorely missed by her Mum Irene, her siblings Shirley (Graham, deceased), David (Gwen), Morris (Liz), Walter (Lori) and Grant (Liz). She was a loving Aunt to her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She will be fondly remembered by aunts, uncle and cousins in Scotland. All of these and countless more she loved and touched deeply.  She will forever be in our hearts.

Please join us for a funeral service at the Strongville Gospel Hall, 1583 Strongville Rd., Stayner, ON on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 11 a.m. with a reception following in the hall.

A service of committal and interment will be conducted at the Thornbury-Clarksburg Union Cemetery at 3 p.m.

Psalms 73:26

My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion forever.

Romans 14:8

For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.
