September 22, 1979 – September 12, 2023

Died peacefully with family by his side at Campbell House Hospice, Collingwood on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 just shy of his 44th birthday.

James, of Barrie, was the cherished son of Lucie Séguin-Bell (Steven Bell). Loving brother of Tabatha Séguin. Proud uncle of Miguel Séguin, Mathew Séguin, Alex Constantin and adoring great-uncle of Payden Séguin. Lovingly remembered by his aunts Leona Séguin, Estelle Séguin, his extended family and friends.

James was the proud owner/operator of Hopestone Construction & Renovation in the Barrie area prior to his illness. He was a proud Christian follower of Jesus Christ. He loved to volunteer at his church, Harvest Bible Chapel, Barrie. He was a very generous person and was loved by many. He will be greatly missed by his family, co-workers and by his church family. As a volunteer at Harvest Bible Chapel, he would refer to parking cars as “parking camels for Jesus”.

A private graveside service was held and a celebration of life is being planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in James’ memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. To sign his Book of Memories, please visit www.carruthersdavidson.com
