Michael James 'Skip' Rowles, born in Meaford on October 26, 1964, a son of the late Rothmore William ‘Bill’ Rowles (Dianne Rowles) and Barbara Seupersaud (Colbert Seupersaud), passed away peacefully and quietly at home, surrounded by his children on Saturday April 13th, 2024 at the age of 59.
After a strong and courageous 11-year battle with cancer, Mike is now finally at peace. The cancer was only a small chapter in his story, as he loved bike riding, painting, golfing, gardening, 'putting' around the house, playing cards, and most importantly, his kids. Mike loved his 3 work wives (including Julio), 2 ex-wives, the Beach Boys, and his Meaford boys. He always dressed to impress and could put a smile on anyone's face. He was taken way too soon, but we will cherish his memory forever.
Mike will be remembered as a loving father by his children: Alexandria, Nicholas, Caitlin and Charlotte. He was a dear brother to his siblings Cathy Rowles; Christopher Rowles (Maggie); Bridget LaChance (Craig); David Rowles; and remembered also by his step siblings and their families: Colbert Jr. Seupersaud (Kelly), Mark Seupersaud (Liz Monteiro), Krista Knudsen (Bob King), and Kim Styan (Carl). To Logan, Nadine, Xavier, Marissa, Sydney, and everyone else he was Uncle Mike.
A funeral service will be conducted at Christ Church Anglican in Meaford on Tuesday, April 16th, 2024 at 11 o’clock. All are welcome to join Mike’s family in the fellowship hall following the service to share further remembrances and refreshments. A private family service of committal and interment will take place at Lakeview Cemetery in Meaford.
