ROLLING, Wayne Arthur

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family on Thursday afternoon, June 29, 2023 at the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital at age 68. Wayne was born and raised in Collingwood. Beloved father of John (Holly) Rolling, Jennifer Rolling-Walton and Jessica Rolling. Cherished grandpa of Ryland, Alannah, Jack, Mackenzie and Nolan. Dear brother of Sandra Rolling. Wayne was a lifelong friend of Steve Murray. He will also be remembered by Sharon Jeffries. Predeceased by his parents Jack and Lorraine (nee Lemon) Rolling. Wayne worked at the Collingwood Shipyards for many years. Wayne coached many years of hardball. His dedication to baseball and to the kids he coached, taking his many teams to all Ontario Finals. He played slow pitch and hockey. Wayne was a very proud and supportive father to his kids. He would stop and talk to everyone he met. A Come & Go Memorial Gathering will be held at the Chatterson Funeral Home, 404 Hurontario Street, Collingwood on Saturday July 15, 2023 from 2:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Diabetes Canada or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
