1924 – 2023

Passed away peacefully at Barrie Manor on February 8, 2023 in her 99th year. Predeceased by husband Hugh Ransier and daughter Sandra Adams (Trevor). Sister of Jean Handy, Elaine Currie and the late Bessie Baird and the late Sandy McGibbon. Sister-in-law of Margaret Kerr, Mary Lawson, the late Jim Ransier, the late George Ransier and the late Rose Underdown. Bea will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Hugh and Bea farmed together for many years on the 10th Line, Nottawa. She greatly missed Hugh after 74 years of marriage. Bea was also trained as a teacher and taught from 1944 – 1969 at the following schools: SS No 4 Nottawasaga, Creemore, SS No 10 Nottawasaga, Nottawa, Victoria and lastly at King George in Collingwood. She continued to have a strong opinion on the school system and current curriculum or lack thereof!

The family will receive friends at the Chatterson Funeral Home, 404 Hurontario Street, Collingwood on Monday February 13, 2023 from 11 o’clock to 12 o’clock. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel at 12 o’clock. A reception will follow the service. The ceremony will be live streamed for those unable to attend.
